It should time about the same as your stock module. The install instructions here: http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/...ns/_j01964.pdf
are for BT models, but they should be about the same for a Sportster.

You can install the module with a SM, they were designed to be installed and work with your factory setup, unlike aftermarket standalone units like Crane Hi-4's, etc.

Is it firing at all? We'd need symptoms of what it's been doing to accurately help you out.

Several people here who have had trouble getting the module to work using the HD instructions have reported sucess using these SE instructions from NRHS: http://www.nrhsperformance.com/tech_xllearn.shtml

I guess the sequence is a little clearer.
Good Luck

Yea, it makes it a bit hard to answer technical questions when they don't give you any info of the year & model of the bike.[:-]

Guess it's time to run the "Topless" post again from a couple of months ago.

Can anyone clarify the turn ignition switch on-off inside of 2 seconds after waiting 10 minutes while its learning-entering password? Do you have to time the 10 minutes?

I have the 7000rpm module in mine. Had to take it to the dealership and have the bike and module formally introduced through their computer.
