Default SPORTSTER TRANS OIL

WHATS THE BEST TRANS OIL FOR A SPORTSTER.I GOT 02 1200C.I WAS THINKING ABOUT BELRAY.

I run the same HD synthetic in both-just easier that way m(for me).

I'm running the Bel-Ray Sport transmission in my '96. Baker transmission recommends this for all Sportster transmission/primaries. THe price is reasonable too. I think I paid $7 and some change for a quart.

ive been running mobile syn 80 -90 without any problems for about 3yrs

Any 80w90 syn.gear oil will due. The dealer uses 20w50 oil in the trans.

30wt non-detergent motor oil works just fine. My Sporty has been running 30+ years with it in the primary. Even with the high cost of oil today, it won't set you back more than a dollar and a half a quart.
