Do the front axle require 1" bearings? I will be ordering a matching wheel for my sidecar and was told that it will require 1" bearings. I need to know if this is the same size as the front to assist with the order. I've confirmed that a 18" wheel will fit with a 130/70/18 tire.

 

The rims I got from an 07 SG have 1" axles. I would think '06 are probablythe same.

 

They are 1".When Iresearched the parts books for a wheel swap a couple of months ago I compared the part numbers for '04-'06 and the bearings are the same PN--9247--and use 1" axles.

 

Thanks guys. This will make it easy. Looks like I will just order a front wheel and then check the spacers for the sidecar.

 

Should have mentioned that the axles, spacers, and bearings are the same for front wheels on the models mentioned in my original reply to your question.
