How much does your Bagger Weigh?
So how much doe your Bagger weigh? I know what the HD website says the various touring models weigh, but I am curious: Who has taken their bagger on a diet and who has packed the most stuff onto their bike? In order to be fair, I guess we should say that the bike should be weighed with a full tank of fuel and without a rider or pasenger. I am particularly interested in who has the lightest bagger and how they got there - 21" front wheel, leather bags, etc, etc. I figured for fun, we might as well find out who also has tacked on enough trinkets and doodads onto their Ultra to be named "Fattest Bagger Around".

RE: How much does your Bagger Weigh?
There are a number of benefits I see to performing a weight reduction on your bike: As previously mentioned, it would make it easier to pick up - or just generally handle for those that or of "smaller stature". There seem to be frequent posts from folks looking to move up to a bagger but are concerned about whether they can handle the weight. I think seat height plays a major role in that - I couldn't stand my old man's RK (I have a 30" inseam), but once I rode a SG, I was hooked! Just a couple inches made a big difference.
Roland Sands makes a pretty good point that there is a significant performace increase with a lighter bike - a 124" motor would do a lot more good in a bike that weighs less than 800 pounds than one that weight over 900. Obviously we are in the touring forum, so comfort and convenience are of concern to those posting here. But there also seems to be quite a bit of talk about performance mods... I would consider weight reduction a performance mod. So how have folks fared in this area? What was done? If your bought an Ultra and took off all the trim until it looked like a Street Glide, how much would all those parts collectively weigh? I know what the HD website says is the difference, but I'm just curious to hear what people are tipping the scales at.
