Twin Cam 88 Horsepower Question
I just had my 1999 Ultra Classic Twin Cam Dynoed. I have 77 hp and 84 ft.lbs. of torque. Question what is stock 88 twincam horsepower? I have been told by the oringinal owner it has a stage 2 big bore kit. Would that be about right for that. I'm third owner. Last guy didn't know anything about it. So I contacted the first owner and that is when he told me it had a big bore kit. From the HP rating what do you guys think?
Thanks

RE: Twin Cam 88 Horsepower Question
stock is something like low 60's for hp and mid 60's for tq.
I have a 95" stage I (stock cam) with a PCIII and it dyno'd at 80hp/88tq. I would expect a Stage II (i.e. different cam) would boost the numbers up at least a little, but not be lower.... in other words, your numbers seem a little low.

RE: Twin Cam 88 Horsepower Question
Depending on what pipes you have on the bike that is about average , the best i have ever seen with a 95" kit from hd, with the 203 cams with no head work & a good set of pipes is around the low 80's , if you were to install a good set of pipes & cams you could get the bike up to the low 90s easy
