To magneto or not?

To magneto or not?
I have a 53 pan, mostly stock, bigger cam, bigger valves and am thinking about putting a mag on. From what I can find on the internet I have about 3 choices. Joe Hunt, Morris Mag and Karata. For a cruiser would the technology of Morris and Karata be worth the cost over Joe Hunt? Any thoughts? This is going a fresh rebuild and kicker.

A few years back I switched to an EI distributor and wonder now why I waited so long. If you decide to go Mag, I've got a couple of primo Joe Hunts for Pan/Knuckle.

I know this is an old post but I have to correct the poster. The Fairbanks was a FAIRBANKS MORSE, not to be confused with a MORRIS magneto. Two differant companies.
