I am in the market for a another bike and considering three or four models two of which are dyna's. One is an `07 dyna glide custom and the other an `01 wide glide. Is there much of a difference in the ride between the two--especially when riding 2-up?

 

I have an 02 Wide Glide, pulls great with 2 up and I prefer the stretched out wheelbase. Wide Glides handle a bit different because of the stretch but once you're used to the feel there's no other choice for me. Be safe, live it up til the money's all gone...

 

I cant speak for the custom, but the wide glide is a perfect 2 up bike. Very roomy

 

I agree. the WG handles a bit different, but rides well two up.

'07 Has the rear foot pegs mounted to the swing arm. '01has the rear foot pegs mounted to the frame.

 

Both great bikes, but get the Wide Glide, you won't be sorry.

You'll notice a difference in the manueverability of the dynaglide over the wideglide, so it depends on what you want out of your ride. Plus the 07 has a 96" motor compared to the 01 with the 88". You can get good power out of the 88" (I got 79hp/84tq on my 03' w/ just stage 1). Personally I would choose the wideglide, but that's my preference.

 

read all fourums and you will see alot of people putting on wideglide front ends ect, cheaper to start of with the real thing
