You didn't say what model you have.&nbsp\\; Is it a frame mounted antenna or a tour pak mounted one?

Steve-&nbsp\\; You might want to get an all rubber low profile one...believe they sell them at radio shack and a couple of other audio/car stores.&nbsp\\; My buddies have changed out both the Ultra and FLHX ones with all black rubber onesthey look better to me.&nbsp\\;

don't know about the 96, but on my 06 Ultra, I can take out the inner liner of the tourpak.. the cable coming from the radio has a knurled fitting that screws onto the antenna base that then is attached thru the tourpak.. the visible part of the antenna shaft then screws on there..&nbsp\\; and that part is replaceable

The antennas on a tour pack (At least the one on a classic) have a mount that is a threaded shaft. It has threads on the top, where the antenna mounts and a hole that the antenna cable mount is screwed into. It is replaceable but you will probably have to get more than one part.
&nbsp\\;
My antenna broke off like yours did and I found all the parts necessary in my parts book. You do have a parts book? Right?
