So I picked up my new 08 Street Glide in vidid black and i am super stoked with it. I plan on powdercoating alot of the chrome to black and want to see if some of you guys can give me ideas with posting some pictures of black out Street Glides, thanks.

BlackBagger, bike looks great! I was actually going to go with the same foot controls and pegs like you but thought about waiting for the new design like the 08 floor boards have. What made you not wait? Was it hard to switch them over? Either way the bike look awesome man, anymore side shots of the motor on each side?

Just my 2 cents and totally my own humble opinions:
Be careful to not go overboard with the black.
Too much of anything will make the result look boring.
Contrast makes everything more visually appealing.

I sold my 08 floorboards and passenger footrests, because there are no inserts in black for it. Bought a used pair off eBay and powdercoated them, and still had money left over.

So black is really the new chrome! Looks cool!

 

I agree with primo, it's all about creating contrast.&nbsp\\; It's the reason I don't have a black pipe on the bike.

My '08 Chrome and Black........may need some more black in the future but likein it for now!!
