Default Auxiliary lights for Fatboy

For those who installed it at home, do I have to drill a hole for the toggle switch? How big a job is the installation? Gas tank removal? Does anyone have these lights and keep the turn signals on the bar? I like to see pictures, cheers! Alex

= do I have to drill a hole for the toggle switch?
Yes, no biggie.

= How big a job is the installation?
If you have all the parts in hand... figuring out which order of the three kits (if installing windshield) was the biggest challenge.

= Gas tank removal?
Yes, for simplicity. It'd be a bear to NOT do it.

= Does anyone have these lights and keep the turn signals on the bar? I like to see pictures, cheers! Alex
Negative on keeping on the bar here.

Parts I used...
Auxiliary Lamp Bulb Kit (bulbs) 68348-05
Bullet Turn Signal Conversion Kit 69079-04
Auxiliary Lighting Kit 69287-07

I put these on my 05 FatBoy. Not a hard job. One thing to watch for. The instructions say after removing the head light you will see a Black, White, &amp\\; Yellow wire. Not true in my case. There were 2 Yellow wires. Used a continuity light to try to see which to cut. Didn't help. Fell back on the old tried and true method. Went: eenie, meenie etc. and cut one. That was last year and all is still well and working.

You can slide the gas tank back and prop up with a roll of duct tape.. screw removing for just an aux lamp setup.

And ya you need to drill a hole in the left rear plate.. if you want it mounted like they tell you too.

I put a set on my 03 last June.&nbsp\\; No big deal.&nbsp\\; As far as drilling the hole, I bought one of those bits that look like a stepped cone.&nbsp\\; It worked great.&nbsp\\; I did run into a problem after 18k mi or so.&nbsp\\; I replaced the bulbs (one burnt out) with a replacement.&nbsp\\; I kept blowing fuses.&nbsp\\; Finally, I replaced the whole sealed beam and have had no problem for 3k.

I have the Deluxe Auxiliary Light Kit on my 07 FatBoy and from what I can tell is the toggle switch is already mounted when it came from the factory. I may be mistaken since I had my dealer install it.

It could be on 07 + model, I don't have it on my 06. I have already drilled a hole for my garage door opener toggle switch, I can use the same hole and relocate my other switch.
