I have a 06 RK Classic with laced wheels. I am looking at maybe changing to RK Custom Mags. I am interested in pictures of anyone who has done this.

Why would you want to change the nostalgic look&nbsp\\; that the classic is all about?

I will be doing this as soon as the wheels arrive, which should be later this week. I purchased them from a member of this forum and I will be glad to get rid of the 40 spoke laced wheels and the tubes. I can't show you any pictures yet, but I believe they will look good.Halfbreed

 

I had Road King Custom Mags put on my 07 Classic&nbsp\\;when I purchased it! I think it made the bike look pretty good, but that is just my personal opinion.

damn Frank. that is a good looking King.&nbsp\\; and I think the custom wheels are the ticket. But then again I am biased against spokes.&nbsp\\; One of the first things I did to my heritage was get the spoke wheels off. And one of things I liked best about SG was the wheels

 

With the addition of the fairing and Blackwall tires I believe I have taken some of the classic away already. I really love the leather covered bags, but not sure the spoked wheels look that good with the blackwalls.

I have really changed it to more of a "Steet King Classic"

 

Thanks for the compliment. This bike has been a work in progress. I love the versitility of the King. I go from solo to 2 up with luggage in no time flat.

I did the exact opposite. Took off the 9 spoke wheels with blackwall tires. Put on lace wheels with wide white walls.
Love it, looks great. i get complements all the time. Had an old lady ask me for a ride at the taco place.
My wife and I got a kick out of it.
But you do what makes you happy.

 

RK custom wheels looks great on Classic, I almost went that route then decided to go 21/18 combo aftermarket and very happy with it. Glad to not have to clean all those spokes anymore. I also put hard bags on too.
