Default Help! Harley-Davidson Evo Engine Problem

Hi!

I have a 1990 H-D FLSTC (Evolution 1340, bottom-breather engine, wet-clutch models),
55000 miles.

Engine have static compression pressure:
Front cylinder 145 PSI
Rear cylinder 140 PSI

My problem - engine oil bleeding into primary (about 0,5 QT on 350 miles).
I have installed new oil seal (OEM 12026B) &amp\\; new spacer (OEM 24002-70) and problem steps out still...
&nbsp\\;
What is cause??? Any ideas???
&nbsp\\;
Thanks in advance...

Not trying to be too negative here but did ya spray the inner down and look for cracks while you had the outer off?

I ride with motorcycle almost every day.
I did not see the cracks of inner engine case (I disassembled Primary twice).
...Maybe is&nbsp\\;too large pressure in crankcase??? ...from what???[sm=insomnia.gif]

Sorry, if my English is not perfect

Your English is better than our Polish.&nbsp\\; Some have experienced leaks in the case at the bearing race, I believe.

how is the crank breather? could be caused by heavy pressure in the crank cases. Breather block or blow pass the rings?

Dr.Hess
You think, that my bearings be worn out and this causes, that engine oil bleeding into primary???
Can You this somehow&nbsp\\;motivate (from technical side)?

I'm not sure, jaro.&nbsp\\; I have not had the problem and that bearing hardly ever goes bad.&nbsp\\;

I have read that people say the leak is at the case at the bearing race, not worn bearings.&nbsp\\; That seems to be quite a leak.&nbsp\\;

What you might try doing is take the primary cover off, pull the chain off, clean all the oil off, start the motor and look closely for exactly where the leak is coming from.

With a leak that large, you should be able to see it pretty soon.&nbsp\\;
