How often should you change your plugs?&nbsp\\; i think my service manual say 10,000 miles, not sure though. Don't have access to it right now.&nbsp\\;

 

My own manual said it costs me $10 for 2 NGK platinum spark plugs, I change it every riding season(around 6,000 miles), no excuse.

 

I figure to do it once a year as well, I pulled them the other day to check my A/F mixture and will just put new ones back in.&nbsp\\;Been using the HD Stock type, any reccomendations on better alternatives?&nbsp\\; My motor is stock with the Stage 1 and SE A/C Kit.&nbsp\\;

 

How do they look? Are you still trying to find out the gas smell in the oil?

 

Plugs looked okay, not sooty or oil fouled.&nbsp\\; I'm a novice on reading plugs and couldn't get any clear pics.&nbsp\\; I'm getting a new exhaust in the near future and will have it retuned then.&nbsp\\; I'm gonna change the oil pretty soon and see if the smell persists.&nbsp\\;

thanks, kinda wanting&nbsp\\;a Fat Cat 2 into 1.&nbsp\\; Planning a Big Bore kit next year and figure the 2 into 1 will get me the most out of the build.&nbsp\\;

 

Stock plugs work just fine here.&nbsp\\; Every 10K according to my manual. &nbsp\\;

 

mine says inspect every 5k and replace every 25k. i put the Screamin eagle plugs in but found no difference

 

10K for platinum plugs, iridium will go for 20K or better.
