Default Cleaning Lexan Windshield

Hi. Just got a HD quick release windshield off Ebay. Nice unit. What's the best way to clean the Lexan. It seems like it would scratch pretty easily if you're not careful. I'm asking this here because this is the section I hang out in and I know there are alot of knowledgeable folks in this section. Thanks........Mike

DO NOT USE WINDEX AND PAPER TOWELS

I get a wash cloth good and wet, wash the windshield with it, and then dry it with a soft towel.
Works pretty well

I use captain richard's best. It's good stuff, you can use it on your entire bike.

I alternate between lemon pledge and Plexus with a soft towell. If the bugs are bad throw a wet towell on to soften them up first. I use a seperate towell for the windshield and wash it often.

Without a doubt; Plexus Anti-Static Plastic Cleaner, Protectant & Polish.....

More info;

"Originally developed for use in aviation, Plexus is quite simply the most efficient product you can buy for cleaning, protecting and polishing clear and colored plastics. Unlike conventional waxes, Plexus cleans as it polishes.
Plexus actually seals the pores of the plastic. It makes small scratches less visible, leaving a surface that's fresh, lustrous, and protected. Plexus dries perfectly, no smears, no scratches, no smudges, and no oily, tacky or sticky residue. It's anti-static, and you can apply it in mere seconds, in one simple step.
For all types of clear and colored plastics; Perspex, Lucite, Lexan, Acrylite, and all other acrylics, (including painted surfaces)."

Comes in a 13 ounce spray container, and yeah, it says not to use 'paper towels'.

Lemon Pledge or I have started using Turtle Wax Ice Detailor after I get the bugs off. So far it works great. Mark

you can not use any product with acitone or alchole in it... silicone based products are fine... alchole and acitione will spider web it... in all honesty just use water and microfiber but pledge works great too!!! DO NOT USE RAIN EX
