Default Fork rebuild

Is there a thread in this forum that shows how to pull the front forks apart to replace the springs/seals and so on. I am installing a set of rear shocks that are adjustable and I have a spring kit for the forks to lower them.

Get yourself a shop manual for your bike. You will thank yourself over and over...

I would love to get a manual but now I have lost my job and need to save as much money as I can. Does anyone have a web site that will show how to do it. I found a real good video but it only shows the first step and then ends.

Go to Progressive suspenspion website, they have pdf dowloads for fork spring kits and shock installation, but you really do need a manual. A fork seal installer is gonna cost more than a manual. Good luck.

Without a shop manual, kinda tough,
But, My 2 cents are .. remember to have some 'Metric' tools (10 mm for the brake caliper mounts, 8 mm for the bottom bolt that holds the tubes into the the lowers).

You also need an impact drive, and a small PVC tube (I got one from HomeDepot), that you will use as a 'hammer' to settle the new seals in.

This is what I needed but I did not disassemble the tube itself which requires some extra steps hope others will help.
