Default Air Horn for Road King

okay, okay ... I've looked at the existing posts ... but ...

I'm looking for a LOUD air horn for my Road King ... and it has to be an "easy" install (because I'm not the tool man, far from it) ....

I've looked at Howard Horns but not sure I could install. The mini-beast looks easy, but is it loud enough?

Just thought maybe someone has one on their Road King or similar scoot ... thanks in advance!

Howard's Horns is not a difficult install. It takes about 30 minutes, and everything seemed to fit OK. They will definitely get the attention of the cell phone users! If you're uncomfortable with doing it, ply a friend with beer (after the installation!).

Why not go with the new HD air horn? Plug in install.

The"new" HD premium horn retails for $124.95 (horn) plus $49.95 (install kit) for a grand total of $174.90 (without tax).
Chicago ships the whole thing for a total of $147.42 (still not cheap), but better.

Good evening rvisdew

I purchase one of those air horns from HD and in comparison with the sound with my brothers RKC the air horn is considerably louder at least twice or maybe three times louder than his stock horn. It doesn't look like there's much to installation. Best I can tell one bolt is holding the thing on. Looks like there's a bracket that bolts to the bike and then a rubber bushings that separates the horn from the bracket. Here are some pictures that are comparing the size to the stock and where it is and how it is bolted on.

I have a 16-year-old son that plays football. They're going through their spring training now. I picked him up from practice the other day and some of the other kids were farting around in the parking lot, when I went by them, I cut loose on the horn and a couple of them took off running.
