has anyone heard of stock brake rotors warping. I have an '06 FLHRSI and recently the front brakes have starting pulsing. Dealer says rotor/rotors warped. only 26k miles. any help here will be appreciated.

 

I had mine replaced at less than 10k. Had The same pulsing, I took it in and they determined Both were warped. It has been 3k+ and its doing fine now.

 

Very common on 2000-up bikes. I fought the warping rotor battle for years. They would warp. I'd but a dial indicator on them and bang them back out straight. Finally after bending a rotor during a rough tire change, I ordered some el cheapo polished ones off of eBay and have had no more problems.

 

I've got a nice set of stock rotors hanging on the wall from a floting rotor upgrade on my 04 ultra. I think they had about 10k on them on removal. I'll ship them both to you for $110 if you need them.

 

Used stock rotors for 110 bucks? If that is what they are worth, I have a stack of them that I will gladly sell.

110 bucks will get a nice set of shiny, polished rotors that won't warp.

Thanks for the input. If I need to replace them i will upgrade to non HD rotors. 26k miles doesn't seem like enough to justify ruined rotors. Seems way to common. Like the front motor mount issue.

 

In an answer, yes they'll warp.

 

my left one warped...got me some floaters..no probs

 

My stockers warped. Got 'em replaced on warranty. Changed over to floaters. I am thinking one of the front ones is now warping.
