Bike Week number 24 for me and a short one at that. Crowd seemed way down from recent years.

Attendance will likely be down at all of the big rallies this year.

Default Can't prove it by me.

I was at the Destination Daytona HD shop yesterday. It's the biggest dealership I've ever seen -- or even imagined. The sales person said that their goal was to sell 550 bikes during Bike Week and they were already over 400. They had a three-bay "new bike delivery" area and each lane was stacked about three or four bikes deep at 7 pm Friday night. Rossmeyer is quoted in today's paper as saying parts sales are up 10-15%. Recession, hell.....

The HD shop really has to be seen to be believed.

I had no problems finding a slot on main several times this week. Boot hill was not full as I remember. all the beer you can drink vs 2 drink max and out ya go. Ormond iron horse was plenty of parking even when david allen coe played.

Yup it sucked this year for me ! Cold weather until yesterday ( when I left ) and the day before I left I got a handlebar ticket just before I turned into detination daytona . They had a check point set up under the bridge and said my bars are to high .. meanwhile atleast 5 guys with higher bars passed me with no problems .This was year # eight for me an probably my last .

Cabbage Patch on Wed was standing room only. Bikes everywhere. I was camping there and they filled up the campgrounds parking the bikes for the wrestling. Had a great time at the Cabbage Patch for 3 days. Camping was $10 a night.
