Default Dumb Question - Tire Size 2005 Fatboy

What tire size should I purchase for a 2005 Fatboy with stock rims. I am thinking of the METZLER ME880.

Your feedback is appreciated.

A 150/80b/16 is what came on your bike. You won't be able to go any wider without a wider rim. Fender clearance is also a concern.

Metzler has a tire chart on there website with sizes. They have what they call a stage 1 upgrade to a ME880 160 instead of the stock 150 that requires no modifications

You can do a 160 but I ahve seen the 160 shred the wiring under the rear fender in the past. I always put a 150 on the rear and a 130 on the front in the Metzlers with the stock rims with no problems.
