Guys if you live in H'town and ride on I45 south beware of the construction at Telephone Rd. I guess they're resurfacing the road and they've ripped up the first layer of asphalt. This has left deep grooves in the road and your front wheel will want to follow them. Trust me they aren't fun at 60mph. Also they're closing that part of 45 every night now from 9pm-5am. Avoid it if you can.

TxDOT will never finish that freeway. I know 2 State engineers that made it their entire working careers.

 

+1. I heard once that I45 has been under construction somewhere between Houston and Galveston every day since World War 2.
