Hey fellas. I just got the call that my bike is done, and ready for pickup at the dealer. I am out of state for a few weeks, and plan to pick it up in June. Here's my question......what kind of interest rates have you been getting from Harley on a new bike.

I will be financing about 12,000 on a 27,000 bike. I'm not asking for anyone to post details they aren't comfortable giving. I am just looking for a ballpark interest rate, kind of a "what to expect" deal.

You used to be able to go to the HD website and see what they offered for different term loans. You might check there to see if this feature is still there.

 

When I bought my bike back in mid-March, H-D Credit rates were not as good as why my dealer could get for me locally, so I opted to go that route. While H-D Credit 'may' be an avenue for you, there are credit unions around that seem to be doing much better than typical banks (didn't have any bad loans, etc. since the criteria are typically a bit higher to have loans approved).

Just a thought for ya.

 

You can usually get lower rates through a credit union. that is what I have read here. I always purchase outright.

 

HD isn't competitive.

I got 4.9% in sept 07 Thats not what they offered me Whatever they offered me was quite a bit higher than my credit union, so I told them I could do better .My credit is excellent and I did have a loan with HD before They dropped it pretty quick
