Default '05 FLHRSI Front brake squeal

The front brake on my bike squeal constantly, at low speed it will make your ears bleed. The dealer said that they have had a problem and new pads are still doing the same thing. They have turn the problem over to the H-D area rep. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what was done to fix it.
Thanks, Scott

Lots of posts complaining about this very thing. It happened on my '93, so this is nothing new to HD. Floating rotors seem to do the trick 95% of the time. Good luck!

Take some 200 grit wet or dry sand paper and scrub the rotors in small circles until you get all the way around. This will interupt the grooves in the rotors and kill the squeal.

Mine rusted up on my 04 Ultra last winter and the dealer replaced them as they have never seen a bike with 1100 niles on it rust as it did. They are quiet right now and if they start to squeak, I will let you know. Make sure that you wash the bike often to remove any stuff that can build up on the rotors and in the calipers. You might also want to try putting some brake anti-squeel on the piston of the calipers. They also will squeel.
