My kids got me the HD LED light set for Father's Day. Even though I think they're a bit tacky, I have to install them.

I have 6 lights.....Where do I place them?

I already installed the on/off switch, I just need to route the wires/lights.

The lights cost a few bucks...the request on this forum to help with the placement of them cost a few keystrokes...the kids who love their dad enough to think of him and his "second love" on Fathers Day is priceless. You can put the lights anywhere you think they should go...or better yet, ask your kids where they think the lights should go and put them there. What anyone else thinks about their placement matters not. Happy Fathers Day. [sm=biker2.gif]

Great kids you have, A very nice gesture. I would place the lights within the engine area. My daughter and son treated me to dinner and gifts. To my surprise it was a HD money Clip and a HD organizer, both very cool gift from my kids.

 

If you have someone you know on the force ask them about the local laws regarding the lights. The cops in my area ( Jacksonville, FL ) let us run pretty much anything as long as they cannot see the lights directly. It must be a glow or reflection of the light and not flashing or strobing. I run 10 LED Lizard lights on my EGC and they are fairly bright. So far no tickets. I did have a LEO ask me one time about them in Tennesee and I asked him " Did you see me ? " he answered, Of course, that's why I talking to you about them now. I responded by telling him " GREAT ! They did their job. He laughed and walked away.

 

Hey thanks guys. I have 4 daughters.
I got the HD lights, a HUGE Harley coffee mug, and a HD picture frame....and a fishing pole.

Anyway....I installed the lights. 2 under the tank on each side, one mounted behind the air filter and one mounted inside the horn cover. The HD lights come with an on/off switch with a dimmer. I had my kids help me install them.

Actually, I think they look pretty nice.
