Usually that's one of the big things with the new bike walk through that every dealer does with a buyer. It doesn't matter if it's your first bike or 21st bike. The key fob I.D. and the security code.

Unfortunatley, there has been a couple of people that have come here and tried to get some info on it after they've aquired a stolen bike. Usually from a European country claiming that his english isn't so great and needs the code (so they claim).

You can understand why people are a little gun shy about releasing the code on the internet.

I can also see how, maybe some dealers do not go through the walk through, or in a new buyers excietment, aren't paying attention. If it's used, and the previous owner changed it, you'll have to get it to a dealer to reset it. If it's new, a call to the salesman that sold it to you will be able to walk you through it.

No malice intended. I think you understand.

BTW..... you should change your code to your own once you figure it out. More than once a fob has been lost on the road or a battery has gone dead. You wouldn't believe how many new riders bikes I've started just to show them. They're pretty surprised.
