Default front brake buzzing sound

guys,
I'm looking for some validation here. Whenever I apply my front brake, I hear a buzzing sound the whole time (until I release the brake). This is more obvious when I am going at higher speeds. The bike stops fine but the sound is bothering me. I had the dealer check it out and they told me that this was normal due to the new type of brake material that is used in order to be environmentally friendly. My bike is an 09 Fatboy. Just wondering if the dealer was blowing smoke or if any of you guys hear the same thing. I should add that the brake pads are stock and I have a stock exhaust and the bike only has 1400 miles on it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
Frank

Mine sounds about the same mine is just more noticeable at slow speeds. Brakes on 09 Fatty sure suck compared to my r6 but you will get used to it.

I have the same problem. Sounds like a cricket or something. I read that it could be caused by a burr in one of the holes on the brake rotor that the brake pad goes over. So it shouldn't be a problem.

Ask your dealer why the rear doesn't do the same? It does seem to be normal, but the excuse they gave you is hilarious!!!

Floating rotors and better aftermarket pads will provide much better braking and it's a relatively cheap mod

MarkG,
The dealer told me that the back will make the same sound but that I would not hear it because the noise is behind me.

My 03 FB has been doing it since day 1. I've tried a few different pads (didn't change the rotors) and it is still there. Seems to be very common and I don't think it is an indication of a problem. Sounds almost like a Cicada.
