Started SE 113 Build
well after much debate I decided to go forward with the 113 SE race engine build. The parts have finaly arrived from Moco and the engine is already torn down. so now comes the task of case boring and assembling the engine. I will keep everyone updated as much as i can about any problems that arrise during the rebiuild.

alright ..cases bored finaly. that was an experience to say the least. unless you know someone who has done that before I would not recommend doing that on your own.
of course went with the Timken bearings and stock crank. i will not need much crank work since the bike only has 600 miles on it . the 09 cranks are pretty damn strong. For the price balancing the crank insnt needed unless running the engine over 6000 rpms for extended amounts of time. However having it tured and welded is well worth the price.
well so far so good..
next mission objective -getting the case back in the frame
--this make take a 6 pack and some tequila--

Finaly sometime off from work. Okay here is what has happened so far. Engine cases bored and crankshaft sent our for trueing and tig welding. Awaiting return of crankshaft. The company is back logged 4 days and will not be able to get it back to me untill the 14th.
Information gathered over the course of this build has led to some interesting findings.
1-Timken bearings are not 100% necessary unless going to a high Tq motor
2-The stock bearing is able to handle up to 100h/100tq
3-Cast Flywheels are not as strong as the Forged BUT will work in big motors if they are trued and welded.
4-If nothing else is done to the crankshaft at least true/weld it =cheap insurnace for big motors
