Default FLSTC passenger footboard question

I have passenger footboards on a 2009 put on at the dealership. I need some help trying to see if they can be moved forward. If I rotate the holder, there is no way to level out the board. My wife gets knee pain in the position their in now. Anybody got any thoughts?

Passenger extensions might help, but it sounds like she is too short. I think they can be rotated forward, but would need a pic to really understand as my bike does not even have passenger pegs on it.

The adjustable ones can be rotated forward. I got them brand new and in chrome at St Paul's HD ebay site for the couldn't resist price of $50. List for a ridiculous $300+. Worst part is they don't even include the floorboard. But I used the ones I already had.

St Paul's still had black ones for the longest time but just checked and no listing for them now. You might also try checking Kuryakyn's catalog.

not understanding whats causing the pain. Are they to low or high for her? too far back?, wrong angle? Is she tall, short, long legs, short legs???
I have the HD rears for the wife and she's never said anything but good for them.. I do have the touring rear seat and touring backrest that goes on when she rides. see thumbnail.. and its about 1 1/2 in higher and thicker than the stock rear seat was..

If the floorboards can't be moved around to help her, you might want to try a different seat. I have the same passenger set-up as Oct1949, minus the cozy looking backrest. Like he stated, the touring pillon is 2 inches wider and taller. The floorboards and taller/wider cushion have made my wife a much happier passenger. She is 5'4".

She has long legs, she feels the need to move her feet forward so the knee is straightened out. I see some add's about extensions but do the extensions extened out or forward? I need to extend forward about 4 inches. Thanks for your replys I will try to send pictures soon.

My ol lady has the same problem. She complains that she feels pain in her hips, but she's 5'9". I think a taller seat would help like the others are suggesting..that would bring her up about an 1" or 2".

Cool Knee pain

My wife also had this problem, I have just invested too much money! in the adjustable footboard extension kit that Harley supply [cost more than £300 in UK] it extented the footboard position by 2 inches forwards but no lower than stock! I'll let you know how we get on [our ride is '06 FLSTCI]
