They are clearly violating the military DOT Helmet law along with the 100" of reflector material, and eye protection. Guess they already have long pants, full fingered gloves, and over the ankle shoes. But...where did they put their DOD decal? And I wanna see an MSF card!!

Off topic, sorry, but I understand your frustration. If I was still in, I'd stay clear of the base with the bike. It's crazy. I know statistics show that accidents involving servicemen are high, but were those accidents on bases? Or are you required to wear that stuff all the time, even off base?

I work on base but I am not in the Navy, wearing the crap really does not bother me much. They require me to wear it on base, but they cannot require I wear it off base because I am a civie.

active duty, yes. retired, i have to wear all that junk to get to work, but as soon as i clear the gate, off it comes.
