Default Popping Noise

I have a 2005 RoadKing Custom EFi that I installed a fullsac True Dual Kit and
replace the Air Cleaner with a Stage One Air Filter kit and now replaced the modify stock mufflers to a pair of screamin eagle slip-on Stage one mufflers the bike runs much faster but I am get a popping noise when it is in idle and in the morning when it is cold and i let it warm up a little and i hit the gas a liittle it hesitates a little. What could be the problem?

Had the same issue when I added V&H true duals, powercommander, SE AC, and everything else

Assuming you may have a power commander....What you need to do is add more fuel in your 0% throttle position / 1000-1500 rpm range. I added a mere 5% more, and my hesitation / pop was gone instantly.

If you don't have a Power Commander, sorry can't help you.

What I discovered is when you accelerate from idle, you're not getting enough fuel, and you're basically choking.

What he said. If you don't have a PC, get one. If you do, then adjust it slightly. Should be zero decel pops with an EFI fuel management module.

I have the harley race tuner and have pop on decel. The bike has been dyno'd twice and I still have it. Not as bad after the second dyno. The tech at the harley shop says that it's un-spent fuel getting into the exhaust. wouldn't this be a timing thing vs the way they have the tuner mapped ?

Don't want to hijack this thread, but looks like the place to ask. My evo hesitates when I crank the throttle from idle, sometimes even almost stalls out. Also coughs and act like it's gonna stall when I down shift and then hit the gas to go around a corner. Quite by accident I found that pulling up the enrichener just slightly eliminates the lag/cough when I punch it from idle, so figuring I was running lean I opened the fuel mixture screw about 1/4 turn thinking that would help, but it didn't. Also alot of decell popping, which I kinda like. I was shooting flames out the back, but from experience, found a loose connedtion from battery which cleared up the missing that was causing unburned fuel to be pushed thru. This is after having the S&S carb apart and cleaned thouroghly and replacing everything on the accelerator pump side. When it's running at higher R's no problems, infact it pulled 84 HP and 92 ftlbs of torque on the dyno (after which I started hearing a squeek, or chirp from the primary if I pull in the clutch and let it out, or goose the throttle at low speed, need a heavier duty clutch?) Any suggestions?

(Man I must love this ol bitch, cuz if my wife gave me this much trouble I'd be single again!!!)
