i guess we need someone to be a guinea pig and do a bunch of dyno runs w/afr, before, after, etc.....

Volumetric efficiency is just that. How efficient is
that combustion chamber on
that particular motor utilized with the correct mixture of air and fuel? VE tables are influenced by cam selection, exhaust system, head design, and intake manifold. That's a fact regardless of 02 sensors. The CLB tables will work in conjunction with the AFR settings via the 02 sensors, if set correctly, to maintain closed loop, but as stated if the VE's and AFR are not setup/calibrated for the specifed combustion chamber, everything else is garbage. Then there is the main spark tables for
each cylinder since the rear cylinder tends to run hotter than the front, therefore requiring
DIFFERENT TIMINGS, that the ECM calls upon for specified timing control. Does anyone actually think the same AFR/VE/Spark tables/Accel Enrichment/Decel Enleanment and a thousand other variables associated with PROPER tuning are the same for a 96ci motor versus a 103ci?
You could dynotune AFR's all day till your ears fall off, but PROPER tuning requires a lot more than just AFR's.
I'm certainly no dynotuner, but I'm doing my best to familiarize myself with this since I'm smack dab in the middle of discerning my own tunes efficacy and I DID stay at a Holiday Inn Express while undergoing such agony!.
