Are all of the bolts on our Harley's metric or a mix of metric and standard? I always thought it was crazy to mix metric and standard bolts but I guess Harley has their reasons. They do the same thing on American Car and trucks. Years ago there was talk about gradually converting over to all metric.

 

Yes, they are a mix. We ride metric bikes

 

98% of the world uses the metric system...ya I think its coming right after you give up your paper dollar and switch to a coin

 

They're phillips, hex, standard, metric, torx, spring clip. You name it, it's got it.

 

Recognizing the importance of cultural diversity and political correctness, Harley has thrown a generous amount of metrics in to the mix.

 

Harley will be changing over to Whitworth in 2012.

 

Harleys will use all metric fasteners before too long.
