Default S&S 510 cam

I just had these installed. I have only ridden 25 miles so far but the seat of my pants dyno says this is a decent cam. Nice lope at idle, increase in torque at 2000 rpm with a nice boost at 3000. It will be interesting to ride with my buddies this weekend to see what the difference is.
I couldn't get it dyno'd yet, the mechanic went down and is healing. I have to wait for 7 weeks until he gets back. When that happens I can compare my original tune to the new one for some real world numbers. Original dyno run is in my pictures on this site.
Original stage 1 dyno numbers were 75.47 HP, 83.83 torque.
How much hp and torque can I expect for the addition of mild cams????

I had this exact cam added with ss gear drives about a month ago. I have an 02 RKC pretty much stock. I noticed a big difference too. Much better torque too. I've never had my bike dynoed. I really like the difference around our mountain roads here in N.GA. Please let me know the increase in HP/TQ if u don't mind.

Did you get the gear drive cams and, if so, can you hear them? Also, did they make the exhaust louder?

good choice on cams. love mine with gear drive. barely hear the gears whine on mine. just enough. but then again, i love the gear drive sound on my sportbike (RC51). sounds like a little supercharger.

I didn't get the gears, stuck with the chain. It did increase the volume of the pipes and the idle is sick!
I will post numbers as soon as i dyno but it is going to be awhile.

IMHO you should easily get to 80hp/90tq. However, your tq seems to be on the low side for a stage 1 96". Should be high 80's. So, with a good tune you might see mid to high 90's tq.
Good cam but tends to perform best in a little higher rpm range.

I have the 510 gear drive with 95" and v&h big shots on my softail and am getting 94tq and 88hp. I love those cams with this set up. no noticeable whine either.
