1977 Harley FXS low Rider
I'm new to this forum and may become a permanent member if everything works out well. I have been looking for a Harley, but $$$ has been an issue. I just ran into a guy who offered a trade for a 1977 Harley FXS low Rider for a 71 Duster I am restoring. It has the 1200cc engine that has been modified to 1340cc. The engine has 900 miles on a rebuild (31k original miles) and the paint and everything else appears to be in very good condition. Can anyone tell me a conservative value of a bike like this to ensure I am not getting taken on this deal? I attached a picture. Thanks.

Depending on the condition it could be worth from $2500 to $6000. A perfectly stock FXS in the original 1200 and factory paint would be worth in the upper range. Check the vin it should be in the format 2F12345H7 for a 1977 FXS. The motor should match the frame numbers and be in the special Harley number stamps. The picture is too small to get any details but it is not stock.

Get it.
Just the frame on that Shovel is worth $2000 if it hasn't been hacked (go ahead and check) and it's not like it's a Challenger or a 'Cuda. You're getting the better end of the deal, especially where gas mileage is concerned. If it's running, you're making out like a bandit. Just remember...It's a Shovel...don't waste your time if you can't take care of it.
