Been looking around at cams to increase torque across the board and be less noisy. I found the Andrews 67h on their site. The lift would work with my springs and build and would not require going to roller rockers. I cannot find any posts or anything on the internet about this cam. Anyone know anything about this cam? Also, should I be using the Fat Cat big bore baffles?

I have a 107 with Hillside stage 3 heads and a welded crank with timkins on the bottom. I am currently running a wood 6-6 with 10.35 compression. I am a pretty aggressive rider.

67H duration: 252 287 lift: .570
Hi-lift Performance cams for 95-107+ inches, 10.0 to10.8 C.R. with high flow head setup. (2600-6400+ RPM).

 

I'll say it first- Talk to Scott about cams. He did your heads, and I'd guess he's familiar with your build. What baffle are you running in the Fat Cat right now? What kind of power are you getting from your current set-up?

 

I really want to hear from anyone who has experience with the Andrews 67h. I checked out HQ and Zippers cams and now am curious about this Andrews cam - there is zip that I can find about it. I currently run Wood 6-6's and do not feel they are a good match for my 107.
I believe I am running the regular quiet baffles.

 

i have screamin' eagle 257 cams in a 110" dyna...these cams are almost identical to the andrews 67...these are big cams and would give you better peak numbers on the dyno...but they would not give more torque through the rpm range...you would probably have less torque below about 3200 rpm...i also have a good bit of valvetrain noise, so i don't think the andrews 67 will be quieter than the wood 6

I have the 67gs in my 110 kit and they work fine for me. What you don't like about the 6-6 ? The 67s are more of a mid range cam. As far as the big bore baffle don't think you need it. I run a modified Fat Cat with a Supper Trap muffler FWIW.

And the duration on those cam's are 252/260 Not 252/287

 

Do you have any numbers for your build?
