Default Chicago Harley, 20% off.

I've read the posts over time. I understand that delivery is slow. But for 20% off, it should be worth it. Anyway, I ordered a streetglide luggage rack, sissy bar, pad and mount. But how long does one have to wait? It's been 17 days. If I ordered locally, they still would have had to order it from the company, but it would have been in, in a week. Are they always this slow?

I ordered just after Christmas and it took them a month. I called three times before they finally shipped my order.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease - call 'em up. Be polite but firm.

I ordered a $1500 order from them and they were holding it waiting on one last part to come in. I finally talked to the internet sales mgr named Craig I believe and he released the order and had it shipped overnight to me at no extra charge. The fella that answers the phone is of no help. Talk to Craig he'll take care of you.

Its not always the store. The most economical and best way is to ship a complete order. Sometimes its the vendor (Motor Company)
Be patient and contact the store to ask.
Been there on the other side.

I ordered handlebars for my bike from my dealer beacause he told me 5 days to get them from the mothership and I didn't want to wait the usual 3- 4 weeks from Chicago HD. 44 days later I had my 5 day bars from my local dealer @ full price. After bitchin abought 44days I did get 10% off. It's all a crapshoot on how long it will take.

I think it is MoCo fault for the long wait on part's...a lot of the Dealer's and engine builders are having a hard time getting part's from MoCo...just a reflection of a company struggling thru some of the hardest times it has seen in 20yrs...I know a guy that has been waiting 6 weeks for some S/E head's and now they are telling him it will be sometime in March...it is just a rough time right now for Harley

That being said.......ordered parts and accessories are much needed business for MoCo.

If their business is slow.....making and delivering their goods to their dealers should not only be easy but a priority.
