Sparkplugs- Accel v.s. HD v.s. NGK v.s. Champion

Any of the brands are going to be about the same.
Accel is proclaimed to be more plug than it actually is.
Harley sells plugs with their name on them, but you and I both know they do not manufacture spark plugs.
I like to just keep it simple and use Champions myself.
If you want to 'upgrade' on plugs, then buy some platinum plugs if you want to spend the money for them.
They will last longer than a regular plug, but then you can buy two plugs for the price of a single platinum. Maybe more than two.

seem very popular with Indy shops.
The latest techno plugs are iridium - go 100K miles in a water cooled car but don't
push'em that far in an air cooled engine.
If you use an ohm meter to check plug resistance you'll find Champions are higher than
the others resulting in a lower current spark.
Also, check your wires as the resistance goes up with age in carbon core designs
normally used / preferred because of reduced RFI / EMI properties. IMHO.

+1. I run Autolite plugs. Never hear anything bad about NGK, however, Champions need to be gapped properly. Over the back fence is proper gap in my shop.

Thanks for the responses. Yeah I'm currently running accel plugs but I've been a big fan of NGK for awhile now. I use NGK in my dirt bike (CR250 two stroke).. I like how the HD plugs reach deeper into the combustion chamber but if they aint got some fire that won't mean ****. If you are right about toyota being the manufacturer of them HD plugs? I'm prolly ganna have to try em! I DROVE THE **** outta my ol' 4x4 toyota sr5 pickup for the better part of 13 years and honestly you couldn't kill the damn thing! Ran like a top all the way up to the day I sold it (just last year @ 249,999 miles on it) only thing I ever replaced on it was the U joint & two front shocks. Wish I had never sold that truck...
