Can anyone tell me what NGK plug I would need to purchase for my 2004 Low Rider and what should I set the gap at? Thanks in advance.

 

If I remember, if you go to ngk website you'll be able to search based on model / yr.

That's up to you. I can't say either way as I haven't used any of the higher end plugs.

 

Nope. A good platinum plug will be all you'll need.

All it is, is a coating by the way. Thin film deposition of platinum or iridium onto the electrodes.

 

I just use the stock HD plugs. They last at least 5000 miles for me.

 

I just installed irrdium plugs. gap at.040. The part # was given to you above... my detonation I was experiencing before is gone. Maybe the plug helped. I dunno. Maybe the marine stabil I started to use at the same time is what eliminated the detonation. Anyways these plugs are less than 20 bucks a pair, ain't gonna break the bank to run em. The irridiums are like having a dyson vacuum vs a hoover... both will work fine, however the dyson will never clog and continue to run at it optimum a lot longer than the hoover.

 

So does anybody know if the NGK part # for a 2005 Dyna is the same as a 2007? I ask because their web site only goes up to 2005.
