Average labor to replace tires?

I haven't needed tires for several years. But the last time I bought tires, I just left my scooter for a while, went and had lunch, and when I came back the tires were mounted and ready to go. No charge above the purchase price of the tire. This happened at a couple of shops, one metric and one tire place.

I change my own and remember to remove the rotor..I use a cheap harbor freight tire macine about 59 buck to break the bead and then just use tire irons to remove the tire..I made a wheel holding jig out of a old rear brake rotor that works well and I use the harbor freight tire iron to easily remove the tire.As far as the balance goes,I have never noticed any difference in the handling unless you pl;an on cruising over 100 mph.
But you just in the end do what you are comfortable doing

Depends onwhat you ride and how much bolts on stuff they have to take off. Most dealers charge by the hour. Probably they'll estimate the frt at an hour and the rear maybe 1 1/2 hr. Sometimes if you get both done at the same time they'll give you a little break, but if its a busy shop, forget it. I had mine done at the Yamaha shop that works on the wife's V Star and they gave me a big break on the per tire price and only charged me an hour for the rear, even having to take my bags and extra chrome parts off, and $20 for the front. which I took off myself a couple of days afterwards.
