Default lepera solo seat pics.

specifically I'm looking at the LePera 12 in. Wide Bare Bones Smooth Solo Seat with Biker Gel .

Does the gel make the seat comfy enough for all day riding? or is the gel not really worth the extra cash?

As always, thanks in advance.

I've got the BB w/gel, and I'm not sure I'd say it makes much of a difference, but I haven't done a whole lot of riding since I got it. Haven't ridden on a standard BB, but this seat is still pretty damn firm.

I know there's no way I would have paid extra for it, but I got my seat new on ebay for $76, so I figured it was worth it.

If you want to get an idea on how it feels, just put a 3/4" piece of PLYWOOD on your frame and ride around! Exactly the same!!!

Been runnin' the BB w/o gel for a couple thousand miles now, not that bad but takes breakin in your butt to it. I change foot position every 1/2 hour or so and keep on going. If you want true all day comfort...........get a Goldwing!

I knew it was going to be like riding on a bar-stool but I'm definitely getting one. I love the way they look on a soft tail. I just wanted to know if the Gel was worth the extra Cash. at this point I'm thinking it's not.

I've got the no gel version and it takes a long time to break in. It's not as bad as everyone makes it sound but it's not great for the first few hundred miles. Looks great though and I love mine.

No gel in mine (and very little suspension). I did 2000 miles in 4 days last summer. no big deal

Treehawk - from other posts I've read here on the site the gel version isn't worth the money.
