I have about 3k on it now and I am hoping to get another 1000 on it should be close..I have heard that Dunlop has a better tire then the factory one to get some more miles but its a harder compound which is going to allow it to break loose more

metzler has a 260 that will fit with no mods and is twice the tire the dunlop is. Avon makes a 250 that many like but you won't get the mileage you will get with the metz.

On a DX, I'm usually good all the way around the parking lot.
On my D, with the Sundowner Seat, I can do a 600 mile day. The highway pegs help a lot. My back doesn't do drag bars.

I've been getting 7500 to 9000 miles on my 180 rear tire. I just switched to Bridgestone for half the price. It seem to ride better than the Dunlop* and if I get 7500 miles I doubled my money.

* A month before I switched tire brands I added Arnott air ride. I can't say how much is the tire and how much is the shocks, but I can now switch between riding solo and dual and still have perfect suspension either way.

i do not care much about mileage but am looking for the best handling 240, seen where the metz was about 4 lb lighter, a lot of unsprung weight, beside poor wear do the mich's handle well in the corners, many comments about metz's rounder profile and good wear for a little xtra $$, gotta figure install costs unless you do it all, i remove them and have an indy mount + bal for $25 each
