All the parts arrived yesterday. I'm installing the kit this morning. It looks very easy to install, should be done in 2 hrs.

I think it was because the OP was burning through belts...like 4 or so? I know there was a thread on this somewhere.

 

I think that some folks ride their bikes a lot harder than old guys like me. I know I did when I was young.

i want to do this too! but not cuz im going through belts. but because i wanna run a sprocket brake and clean up the rear wheel a lil bit.

 

The parts came from Zippers performance. It cost $279 Canadian without the chain. I purchased a good quality O-ring chain locally for $100. I'm thinking of adding a Buel style chain tensioner.

I hate chain drive. I wish my Z1000 had a belt drive. Chains are only good for one thing only-handling lot of power! They are dirty, noisey, and have to be maintained alot more-no thanks!
