Default street glide problems

I tried to purchase a 2009 street glide from my local dealer yesterday. The bike is stock with Rinehart exhaust and a race tuner witha high flow air filter. Beautiful bike. Did a test ride and about 5 mins. into the ride the bike started to slow down and no matter how much I turned the throtle the engine would not run past 1800 rpms. I made it back to the dealer and he called it limp home mode. The bike had several codes of problems. I find out the previous owner traded the bike in due to the same problem. The dealer replaced the ECU hoping this was the problem. I find all this out after the test ride. No one told me about this during the sale. Thank goodness I did not give them any money. I think I will keep looking.

I traded my '09 in because of a vibration that they nicely said I was on crack. Now it's their vibration.

Oh why cant stealers just fix the problems instead of trying to pass it off to their customers who in turn have to pay them to fix the problems.

dealer called today and he found the problem. Bad connection at the ECU. The seat was hitting the connection and caused the problem. Replaced the connection and the problem is gone. Would you still buy it or keep looking.

Turn and burn, probably don't even change the oil. Quick wash job from some punk kid making 5 bucks an hour and to the floor it goes. Pretty sad, they do it in my town, thats why I don't go there..

My '09 has never had this tbw issue. I think was mostly a problem that manifested itself on the '08 models and has since been remedied. I wouldn't let this scare me off from purchasing the bike if the bike is configured the way I want it and the price is right. Every single '08, '09 '10 and'11 touring bike out there is a tbw model. You're not alone by a long shot riding a bike with this setup. Get this bike. I'm sure you'll get many years of good service out of her...
