Default iPod interface

Anybody try the new HD iPod interface?

At $400, I want to know it's a good thing before I try it. If you have, what was installation like, and how much is the connector kit you have to have to put your iPod in the saddlebag?

Too expensive for me, it would probably be €600 in Ireland. I connect using an audio lead to the radio aux socket and put the i-pod in my pocket. Works well and costs nothing.

I think I'm gonna try it. I use my iPhone all the time for music. I wonder if it will work with Pandora and Slacker Radio.

Great question on the iPhone and Pandora. Seems like it would be the same connector.

The link to the HD site says this is an IN-STORE PURCHASE ONLY (caps are from HD). That said, I didn't think you could buy this from Zanotti's or Chi HD. Let me know if they quote you 20% off...might be worth looking into.

I clip my IPod mini to the windshield bag of my SG so it is exposed. I have 1 playlist and if i do not want to hear the song that is playing I touch the button and all is good.

If you think about with this interface your eyes will leave the rode to read the display and your thumb is clicking a button to change the song. I find it a waste of money. Sorry.
