I have been looking around for a great cam and priced affordable. I have family use Andrews Cams and were very happy with the results that they produced. I been looking and been looking at the 37H cams. I was wondering if anyone has any experince with these cams and did they use the crankshaft sprocket with +4 or -4 degrees timing change.
Any input is good about any other cams also

 

I have 31's in my motor which are the same cam with all the timing events rolled a little later....I think the 37's are great for 95" or 96" motors, and the 31's are better for 103's....Here is a link to a shop that uses nothing but 31's, 37's, and 50's in ALL their street motors...

I got to looking and seen that andrews has a advancement sprocket that you increase or decrease timing +4 degrees or -4 degrees. what would the effects of using the sprocket do for me?

I had Andrews 26H cams in my 07 with a 96" and it ran great..Lots of pull and down in the RPM range where a bagger needs it.

the one other thing i was looking to do was to port and polish the heads amd didn't know if this cam would be alright to do this with. i have been doing a lot of searching and just wanting to get the best bang for the buck with out having to do and bore kits. i know once you start you can't stop so i geuss i am also looking down the road too. thanks everyone for you inputs and info you have

 

The Andrews 37 cam was popular with the twin cam 88 engines. The combination recipe by a lot of tuners a few years back was to use it in a 95 cubic in engine(bored out), mill the heads to get around 9.8 to 1 compression (max), and clean up the heads (street port ). I have installed thiis on my bike in 2004. I have not seen or heard this cam being used for the TC96 engines, maybe because it lost its poularity and there are newer cams that came out since.
