Default Transmission Fluid Change

I want to change the fluid in my transmission on my 2009 Street Glide to Redline. Can someone direct me to a video link or the relevant page from the Owner's Manual that goes through the steps. I realize that the basic steps involve draining the existing fluid; replacing the plug with a new "O" ring; and adding the new fluid. However, it's my understanding that you need to make sure you are removing the correct fluid plug underneath the bike; and there may be other considerations. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All the information you are looking for is in the owners manual. It shows you where the drain plugs are.

How dumb can I be--I didn't think to look in my Owner's Manuel. For some reason, I was thinking I needed a service manual. But it makes perfect sense that the Owner's Manuel would contain information regarding relatively simple maintenance matters, like changing fluids. Thanks, I look there.

The Transmission is the easiest to change. Ride the bike and get it up to operating temp. I do mine on a lift to keep the bike upright and level. The transmission drain plug is on the right side almost underneath the fill plug. The filler plug takes a 3/8 " allen wrench. Take it out, remove the drain plug. It takes a 5/8 socket. let her drain for about 30 min. Check your o-ring, it may be ok to use again. after reinstalling the drain plug, torque it to 14 to 21 ft pounds. Add 1 quart (32 OZ) Redline and repace the filler plug. You are done!!!

That's why I installed the HD speed check tranny dipstick 37103-08 so I don't have to mess with that stupid allen filler plug.
