I recently purchased my first HD. I got the Softail Deluxe with the smooth wheels..The white wall ones..
Does anyone know what I should keep my tires air pressure at or can offer any other tips I should know about???

I use 36lbs front and rear (no passenger) and 40lbs rear if a passenger. You should have received a book with all the details from the dealer.

HD just had a recall on the psi for front and rear tires. they sent me a knew sticker and said many 05 softail models have the wrong sticker on the frame.

did anyone else get this recall?? i believe randy has the psi correct.

 

Yeah I got the recall letter and sticker but my sticker was already correct.

The notice sent out by HD states that certian 02, 03, 04 and 05 modle softail built before may 2nd 05 fail to comply with Part 567 Motor Vehicle Certification requirements. Vehicles involved include FLSTC, FLSTCI, FLSTF, FLSTFI FLSTN and FLSTNI modles. The vin lable contains the incorrect tire size and inflation pressure. the lable states tire size MT90B21 and inflation pressure at 30 psi. this is incorrect. The actual tire size is MT90B16 and correct finflation pressure is 36 psi. I bought my Deluxe in january and received the notice about 2 weeks ago along with the new sticker.
