Default is it just me?

I have been reading these forums about two months..been riding since 1955..owned more bike's than most poster's are old
seems to me most post's are from people who really know nothing about motorcycles..just want to know "what look's good"

Are there any riders who care how the bikes handle?
Or starts and runs ? (every where , not just wfo)

All I see is "bolt-on stuff,
I/E..change the "seat , put on stupid fenders ( that splatter you with road stuff)
change this, change that .all without regard to rideability ..Just "look good".
I say
"damn the slam " ..makes the bike scrape on little bumps..
Also hafta buy a shorter jiffy-stand..

I may be in the wrong forum ..
I wanted to see what real riders do ..not just who spent the $$ on aftermarket stuff..
..
OK , over rant ..I will be quiet, and go somewhere else

Welcome to the world of Harley. I love my Sportster but it's an old school no frills bike and that's WHY I like it. Harley's don't handle and they don't really perform (as in performance) but they're cool, reliable bikes. As for all the shiny bolt on stuff, I'm with you but that's what owning is Harley is about.

Never tried that approach. Don't think I ever will, either.

Oh, I see the problem.

You are in the "baby bike" section.

I thought you said you were a REAL biker and knocked everyone here.
You need to move over to the bigger bike section where the men play.

But of course, you might want to get a men's bike first.

It does seem that some on here are more concerned with what looks good rather than what makes their bike more enjoyable to ride, but I figure that's just where they are in life and it isn't hurting anyone, so what the heck.

Oh god. Another old man discovering the new age B.S.

Just ride.....

Why do you care about what others prefer? Some do bolt-ons, some do more advanced things.

I read these kind of posts all the time where one type of biker compares the elasticity of his nut sack to anothers.

Who cares - just go ride.
