touring seat for my rigid sporty
gonna give the bike alittle makeover some point soon but in the mean time I really need a new seat...this is what I got so far
I started out simple and was very pleased but figured I should go WAY overboard and over engineer it just to be safe haha
I was acutally inspired to change it up buy watchin that dude josh kurpius' blog and the seat pan he made
I used some Bastard injinuity to hold the skeleton braces in place...I never have magnets (I really need to get some) so I thought good and hard and remembered my boy got some rock magnets when he was at a museum gift shop a while back sooooo
Boxed it in...
and man am I happy with this pan so far! I got to box in the back end and do alot of sanding before padding but this thing is gonna ride and look great
the little shelf is just big enough to fit my sons *** on so hopefully after its covered I can convice my wife to let me take him on a little ride for the first time

thanks man!
been workin on it all day...
Think I'm more proud of this pan than anything I've done on this bike as of yet.
did a bunch of sanding grinding a little more welding and formed the pan around the frame to give it a really nice finished look.
Unfortuately I was unable to create some sort of cool stash box door on the back...just couldn't figure out how to do it
So instead of a cool back door (huh huh I said back door) I cut her belly out to make a super sweet stash spot! still no clue what I'm gonna use it for but it was too good an idea to pass up...figure some felt and velcrow will keep anything I put in there...in there since it sits flush against the fender
my phone in there for a scale size
and a pic of me and my boy testin it out...can't wait till I can get him on there ridin
stay tuned for padding and cover!

the more this seat comes together the more excited I get about it. I was affraid that I sanded to much foam off of the base layer but figured I would wait for the gell and 1/8 of neoprene to get here before I made that decision...well I got the stuff and threw it on and HOT DAM ITS PERFECT!!! So comfy! not to thick and really contures to my ***. Also went to Joe Anne fabrics today and ordered the cover I'm going to use...should be in begining of next week so I should be done with the seat by next friday or so
