Default Rattle can clear coat?

I have a 99 sporty, I painted it rattle can flat black, Im getting ready to hit it with black gloss out of a can, the problem is when filling up with fuel, if I spill any on the tankl it ****s up my paint job........I cant afford to pay the cost to have it done by anyone, so I was wondering what can if any of clear coat will protect the paint from fuel spill?

You can find good clear coat in a can. Wet sand it when it dries and it'll really shine.

If you go to a paint shop they will have a clear in a can that you have to pop a plunger on the bottom of the can and a harder is released into the can. You then shake it just like regular spray paint and spray. The nozzles are different than regular spray paint because they have a bigger fan of spray. A can of this type of clear will run you around $20 bucks, but it's well worth is since it has an harder in it.

They also spray reall nice. I hardly had any orange peel

+1. That is the kind you need if you don't want the gas to eat your paint. Most rattlecan clearcoat will get damaged by gas just like any other kind of rattlecan paint.

no they do not... just dont spill gas all over it and your will be fine i have used flat clear from rustoleum painters touch before and it held up great, i have also dropped a cup of gas on the tank after filling it in the garage, poured some water down on it and it was fine
