Default 103 Performance Mods

Have a 2010 RK 103 Police with Rush slip ons.
Looking to boost performance (aren't we all?). Figuring some cams, power pack and air cleaner are cheap ($1500) boost. But will do more if there's better bang for buck.
Don't want to re-invent the wheel.
What has worked for you?
Thanks

You had better check the Fuel Moto 107" kit. Big power for sure.

I would definately consider a FM-107 kit if upgrading from a 96, but not so much from a 103. I guess that 4 extra ci is just not enough for me to go that route. I say just do a Stage 2. You already have slipons, so pick up some good headers and cams. The wood cams seem to be one of the best.

Good set of head pipes, cams, tuner, maybe a little head work if you like, and your set!

Well a lot depends on what you plan on doing and what rpm's you ride at. You can see what I have done and the dyno results for my bike below the pic. I ride in the 2500 to 2700 rpm range that is where I needed that extra kick in the pants if needed. I am all about the torque don't need those high horsepower numbers.

Some nice bang-for-the-buck options:

1. Slightly used 255 cams bought on Ebay: $200-300 total if you DIY. Wood 555 or SE204 cams would also do well in your 103 with its standard 9.6:1 compression. Add $150 (SE) to $250 (Wood) for new cams.

2. Fuel Moto Power Package (PCV and AC) minus the mufflers: ~$400 (IIRC). Buy the Jackpot Dyno-Tuned baffles (~$100) for your Rush mufflers for a nice all-round power boost.

3. Head-pipe upgrade to get rid of the cat, if your bike has one. Fuel Moto makes one and sells other brands, too.
